Looking back at my cycling season 2018 so far
It's actually great writing this seldom. Well I kind of feel bad about it, but also thinking about my last post in the beginning of February, summing up January feels like ages ago. Back then, even spring seemed far away, and now we've already put behind the midsummer celebrations.
So I wrote I had the best January comparing time spent in the saddle. I was eager to keep on riding, being afraid I would lose it at some point. But writing this now, at the end of June, I can look back and realize I've been doing okay. I haven't been able to track record-hours, but I've been pretty consistent. One of the most important reasons was the fact, that I was able to track some 20 hours in Italy in March. I see I haven't been summing up that yet, so will try to wrap it up in the upcoming weeks (that's not a promise). I'm still on track with my 350 hour goal, but that will mean I need to ramp up a bit during July and August. June has not been the easiest of months, but it seems I will be ending June with decent hours.
Without further ado, I will try to recap the spring and early summer in pictures.
The beginning of May was still chilly and wet, but then the weather turned 360 degrees, and all of a sudden Finland was the warmest country in whole of Europe, and we were greeted with some 30 degree days with plenty of sunshine.
I also made a small timelapse from a route I've been taking (too) often this year. Kakskerta that is.
June was partly warm, but then we saw a change in the weather, and June so far has been chilly, especially compared to the warm May.
So that's wrap! Let's see if I'm able to update the blog a bit more often. No promises..
Enjoy your summer folks!
