Matthias Brändle is the new Hour Record holder

Just a couple of minutes ago he made it! Matthias Brändle is now the new Hour Record holder with 51,852 km. Matthias set up a good pace from the very beginning, and was already 15 seconds ahead of Jens Voigts previous time after 10 minutes of cycling, and at highest over one minute ahead. That was reduced to just below a minute ahead and at the end Matthias made a great effort by almost reaching the 52 km mark.

Superb job by the young Austrian, congratulations Matthias!

Will be interesting to see how many more attempts we will get this winter. Matthias really set the bar high!
