Turku Weekend With Fincycling
This weekend is the official grand opening of the Finnish road cycling season. Simo Klimscheffskij memorial ride will be ridden on Saturday and TS Kortteliajot will be ridden on Sunday. Fincycling will be racing on both days.
Simo Klimscheffskij memorial ride or "Simon Muistoajot" is a 72 km race and will be ridden on a á 4 km route. There is one hill and the finish is also located on top of it. The average percentage is 5 % over the 400 m long hill. It will be of key importance to have the legs to hammer that climb if the whole group is still together for the final.
Below the route video for the Simo Klimscheffskij memorial ride, filmed yesterday:
TS Kortteliajot is _the_ real Spring Classic race in Finland. It will be ridden on a 1,12 km loop around the Aura River in the city center of Turku, 50 times. The scene is perfect for a classic ride as Kortteliajot. The start goes at 12.30 local time. The weather for both days should be okay, slightly windy and cloudy, but no rain during the race.
I will be with the Fincycling team the whole weekend and be sure to follow Fincycling in social media to get all the latest news first!
