Hey Spring, welcome Summer

Well that went fast. Spring 2017 just happened, and we're already knocking on July. Having the opportunity to enjoy a rest-day on the balcony, I decided it would be a good way to spend a couple of hours, writing down my thoughts about the past couple of months. There are tons of pictures, again.

It seems there is always a small gap in writing when something changes in my life. The beginning of the year was pretty good training-wise, and I was able to follow my training plan almost to perfection. However, I had to take 5 weeks off, due to either allergy or man-flu. It was hard to get back to training after that. But I did it and now I've had almost a month of solid training again. And maybe, just maybe I can see some improvement.

But let's go back to March and April. After a long winter on the trainer, I opened the road cycling season the 23rd of March in +4 degrees. It was also a first for riding with a disc brake road bike. I had the opportunity to ride the Canyon Ultimate CF SLX Disc 8.0 Di2 during spring. More about that bike in a later post.

I took a trip to Koblenz in mid-April, where I had the opportunity to ride with other Canyon Crew members. I can warmly recommend taking a trip down to the Canyon HQ, and enjoy the beautiful Rhein-Mosel landscapes on a bike.

The climb is really beautiful, and many of the Canyon commercials are actually filmed here, for a reason.

The Canyon Pure Cycling Festival took place the weekend I arrived to Koblenz, and one interesting event was the Canyon Battle feat. Rad Race. Which was basically a 200m long head-to-head sprint competition.

As it seems the post is beginning to reach a maximum what's allowed for a website, I just have to stop here. Mainly just to avoid you from falling asleep.

So I will continue in a later post. You could never guess I have loads of pictures just waiting to be shared!

Enjoy the summer folks!
