Spring is here
Now its not often a cyclist in Finland can update such topics in the first days of March. I am fortunate to be able to do it this year. Last year I did my first road bike ride 26th of March. Some years ago I was not able to begin the outdoor season until April. This year I got to type those words in my training calendar as early as 1st of March. I feel privileged and I have never been this excited before a season. The GoExpo fair in Helsinki is also one of the first signs of spring. I visited the fair last weekend. And before you start scrolling I warn you, there are loads of pictures in this post.
GoExpo 2015
Last weekend we went to the GoExpo fair in Helsinki. It's of course nothing compared to the big events in Europe, but still a good place to meet people and check out the new range of both bikes and clothing.
Polar Event to Support the Cancer Foundation Finland
Fincycling was also visible in the GoExpo fair. Polar had a really nice campaign where they would donate 1 € per every kilometer ridden (with a Wattbike) to the Cancer Foundation Finland. During the weekend, several celebrities and cyclists were riding the Wattbike and collected in total 600€ for the foundation. Polar actually decided to double it up and ended up donating 1200 € to the Cancer Foundation Finland. That tells a lot about Polar as a company and their values, really great to see companies support good causes even during hard economic times. You can read more about the campaign here.
I warned you about a massive amount of photos, didn't I?
So folks, it feels as everything will come to life again after the winter. I have a lot of interesting weeks and months to look forward to. So stay tuned.
And just because you didn't have enough of pictures, I will add some more. Enjoy!
